Jamaican Castor Oil

Jamaican black castor oil (JBCO) is a popular hair and skin treatment with a long history of use in Jamaica. Unlike standard castor oil, JBCO is made by roasting the castor beans before pressing, which gives the oil its distinctive dark color and nutty aroma. The resulting oil is thicker, richer, and contains ash, which increases its alkalinity.
